It's very difficult to judge from web images but I'm going to anyway... 8-)

Although all of these images are good, none of them hit me with the impact that 
many of the WPOY do.  Mainly, that is due to background.  For example, 
"gilamot".  An excellent study, which would have been much better if you had 
been able to get the bird silhouetted against the lighter rock.  Similar effect 
in "heron1", "oystercatcher1" and others where the background is cluttered.  
The ones where you have got a clear background are more mundane species.  This 
shouldn't make a difference but.....

For me (and bear in mind I'm looking at small, low resolution pictures) the 
ones that work are "Geese at hockbeach" (I suspect this may be your best 
possible entrant) "junko 1 & 3", "owl 2" and "Starling".  I hope you do enter 
and do well.  Check the conditions of entry carefully.  You may not like all 
you find there.
