Definitely not a replacement in its current state (which is an early, feature-incomplete version - hardly a beta by the usual definition). So far, no layers, masks, or any pixel based editing or retouching functions. But boy, does its B&W conversion function kick butt. Right now, for the way I work, I'd do initial conversion in Lightroom and then export to PS for further editing. It'd be great if they would add enough editing stuff to eliminate the need for PS. We'll see...

Particulary, check out the "Getting Started with the Develop Module" video.

While talking with Marco last night at Godfrey's show (VERY nicely done, BTW - and Godders is a fine host), he mentioned that he was playing around with a Beta version of Adobe Lightroom. The program is not yet available for Windows, and I'm wondering if any other Mac users have been using it, and what comments you may have. From all I've read, it seems that it might be a very fine adjunct to Photoshop, or maybe even a replacement for it for
photographers. Any thoughts?
