It is clearly a mechanical problem: the adapter F does not clamp securely on the hotshoe and it may fall off. I have used an AF330FTZ on the adapter F (and an AF500FTZ feeding off the cable and stuck on the old Pentax grip) and I *did* notice that the AF330FTZ had a tendency to pull the adapter off the hotshoe.
