Hard to understand what mixture of superstition and hardship can make
someone want to do something like that. It would seem so easy to
provide for means for people like this guy to study and have real
lives and not be trapped into all this idiocy.
As long as both sides don't try to acknowledge and understand each
other, this will go on. The bombings, as well as the coming Israeli
retaliation, are like trying to get rid of homelessness by putting
homeless people in a bus and taking them out of town.
Just yesterday, I was in a workshop by Antonin Kratochvil, where among
other people, there was someone who's regularly working in Palestinian
refugee camps. Her stories, from the other side, are also sad,
chilling and outrageous.
A vicious circle.
