The current series FA28-105/3.2-4.5 AL IF is certainly a very good lens ... you've seen a lot of my photos from last year's UK trip taken with it. That said, I found myself using it less and less in preference to the FA20-35, FA50, and FA135. I sold it a few months ago and filled in the focal length hole it left with the FA77. I think if I were buying a zoom in this range I'd go for the FA24-90 now. It's a better performer at the longer focal lengths and still reasonably light and compact. Of course the upcoming DA50-135/2.8 is really what I ought to buy if I'm in the market for another lens. (My current debate is whether to add the FA28/2.8 to my kit. Or wait for the DA21/2.4 Ltd. I've flip-flopped on it a dozen times already.) Godfrey -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
