OK. However, I reserve the right to be part of the problem at any future time of my own choosing.
Architecture is difficult subject to photograph well because often you're just making a record shot of someone else's work, which can be rather dull. One of my favourite examples of making a clichéd subject come alive again is this photo of the Taj Mahal by Steve McCurry: http://tinyurl.com/mjg9f http://www.magnumphotos.com/c/htm/CSearchZ_MAG.aspx?Stat=SearchThumb_S earchZoom&o=&Total=7&FP=442298&[EMAIL PROTECTED]&Pic=7& SubE=2K7O3R3ITSD8 In my more modest way I have tried to do something as original with another World Heritage Site. Not as successfully as McCurry, but I quite like it. -- Cheers, Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Don Sanderson > Sent: 22 June 2006 03:02 > To: PDML > Subject: PUG Challenge! > > This whole PUG thing is starting to sound like a bunch > of people sitting around watching a man die of thirst. > They all have a glass of water in their hand but all > they do is sit, and wait, expecting someone else to > save the poor guy. > > August: Architecture > Deadline for Submissions: July 20, 2006 [...] > > So, who's willing to be part of the solution, instead of > part of the problem? > Shel, Tom, Frank, Bill, Cotty, Aaron, Adam, Ann, Paul, > Bob, Bob, Bob, Boris, Dave, Bruce, Christian, Don, Marnie, > Jens, Jack, John x4, Joe, Keith, Ken, Mark, Mike, Peter? > Heck, That's about 30 right there! > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
