I took a good hard look at my Mz-S, put it down, looked again the next day.
Sorry, but I see absolutely no evidence that this camera is painted by hand.
Frankly, I don;t give a damn if it is painted by hand. It could be painted
by foot and I couldn't care less.
Personally, when I hear Canon and Nikon users rant about the great techno
features of their cameras and how they need those things to get images, I
think they are dweebs. But hearing this nonsense about hand painted
cameras, "dweeb" takes on new meaning.
If I want gimmicks, I'll buy a Canon and extoll in the rather useful
gimmicks it offers. Hand painted body is a pretty lame gimmick.
I don't want a hand painted body. I want one that has the paint baked on by
an industrial process so it will last till I take it to my grave, which is
what the Mz-S appears to be. Put two Mz-S's side by side and I doubt if
you'll see a difference.
If I want something that is hand painted and unique I'll buy a seashell
with "Greetings from Rockaway" written on it. If I want a camera that
rocks, I'll buy an Mz-S.
