Follow the manufacturers instructions for processing the film to
start. It may not be perfect, but you need to start somewhere.
The Patterson reels are of the "walk on" variety, in that you
thread the film in a few centimeters then twist the reel back
and forth on it's axle to load the film. Some tanks, I am not
sure if yours is one of them, use an insert to twist the reels,
so as to obviate inversion agitation. This works well, but can
cause streaks as the developer is forced through the sprocket
holes, causing greater local agitiation. Twist gently.....
