On a related note, it is a good idea to periodically scrub the
reels with a toothbrush. Over time, crud does get deposited in
the channel that the film sits in, and this can cause loading
problems. If you use photo flo, this problem is even worse, as
the photo flo seems to leave a residue behind that does not
rinse off, and builds up over time to jam up the reel.
