No... mostly I shoot colour neg and make really nice scans on my Sprintscan 120.

Which is > entirely possible. Hi Aaron, Brilliant post :o) My first guess was ISO as accessible as shutter and aperture as an exposure control. However, you heavily hint at vastly improved image quality, archieveable with the same sensor.
