If you drive much in any college town you will never hit a pedestrian by accident <grin>. You would not even be surprised if one cut in front of you in your own garage.
And you will not open doors in front of bicycles, someone on the college bicycle team will hit you for sure. Apparently the 20mph speed limit here does not apply to them. One day as I was pulling up to a light a whole string of them passed me on the left (in my lane) and cut across in front of me to go down a street to my right. Giving me the finger as they did so. Apparently I was a bit too much to the right of the lane for them. Apparently traffic lights do not apply to them either. -- graywolf http://www.graywolfphoto.com http://webpages.charter.net/graywolf "Idiot Proof" <==> "Expert Proof" ----------------------------------- Bob Shell wrote: > On Aug 28, 2006, at 1:51 AM, David Mann wrote: > >> If I remember correctly, in central London there is painted lettering >> on the edge of the roads reminding foreign pedestrians which way to >> look.
