An interesting thing that Pentaxers might like: Canon USM lenses, certainly the L lenses, but also IIRC the vast majority of current lenses have the ability for full-time manual override. Viz: I hold the camera to the eye, half press the shutter to activate AE and AF together, then if I want, I can disable AF with a press of my thumb onto a button on the back, and tweak manually on the lens as 'normal'. Some assign the button on the back so that it actually activates AF, so you start with a fully manual lens, pressing when desired for AF. It's a very useful feature I have found, but never having had AF Pentax lenses, I don't know if this is true of current Pentax AF (pre-K10D). -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
