An interesting thing that Pentaxers might like: Canon USM lenses,
certainly the L lenses, but also IIRC the vast majority of current
lenses have the ability for full-time manual override. Viz:  I hold the
camera to the eye, half press the shutter to activate AE and AF
together, then if I want, I can disable AF with a press of my thumb onto
a button on the back, and tweak manually on the lens as 'normal'. Some
assign the button on the back so that it actually activates AF, so you
start with a fully manual lens, pressing when desired for AF. It's a
very useful feature I have found, but never having had AF Pentax lenses,
I don't know if this is true of current Pentax AF (pre-K10D).
