The first thing that struck me was how similar to the DS the K10 is ... I don't see any trouble making the transition from *istDS to the K10D. I like the close "family" resemblance.
It's kind of a bummer about the bats .... I'm used to 1400 or so shots from the AA Lith-Ion disposables I use now. Dropping to half, or less than half, will take some adjusting. However, I'm pleased to see that Pentax chose to include a charger - I think I've got that right - so the cost of another couple of bats will soon be recouped. And if these are more powerful, and give better AF performance with current lenses, or future supersonic lenses, then the change ain't so bad. I think I'll wait until the early adapters report back with their experiences, but I'm gonna start saving for one now.
