They aren't staying with 6, they've just introduced a 10 megapixel 
camera. We're seeing DSLR's stratify into two tiers - 6 megapixels, like 
te K100D, and 10 megapixels, like the K10D. It's strictly economics: The 
6 megapixel cameras are cheaper :)
 From a consumer standpoint, I suppose one might also observe that the 6 
megapixel cameras can get by with smaller, less expensive memory cards 
and slower/cheaper/older card readers.
