A bloke once sent me a Western Union Money Order from Japan, and I went to a Western union agent (actually a foreign exchange bureau that dealt in Western Union) here in Oxford (UK) and even they wouldn't cash it! My bank wouldn't take it, I had no way of receiving funds from it. I sent it back and apologised. Fortunately the buyer was legit and paid another way and we completed the deal.
