A list member asked me kindly to give his K 500/4,5 a good home. As the gentleman I am, I did accept.
It arrived today in very good condition. It's a dinosaur, but it's also a real beauty. I took it for a little spin I arrived the spot at the wrong time, it was high tide, so I was not able to test it at real subjects inside reach. But I think we will get along very well. It is more than a handful, but it sure makes me feel powerful ;-) I was quite surprised about how much easier it is to focus then my Tokina AT-X 150-500/5,6. The contrast is a lot better, but I also believe the half step down has something to do with it. One other thing, the 1,7 AF converter was able to focus at some motifs. That's fun.
