So, why not paint in a sky that's similar to the one that was in the
original scene?  Actually, you could have made two exposures, one for the
scene and one for the sky, and used the original sky.

FWIW, over the past few months I've taken a few shots of the sky for just
the very purpose.  Several pics I've posted have fried skies painted in,
sometimes with the sky that was in the scene, sometimes with one of my
"stock" skies.
