I'd agree with Lon here.

Personally I have a very small photo bag that can hold body with the
lens attached, and two more lenses, and of course a spare card,
batteries, blower brush... So my go everywhere don't know what to
shoot kit is: FAJ 18-35, 43 Ltd (or 50/1.7) and F 70-210... My go
everywhere top quality kit is simply all three limited lenses. If I
want to go with just one lens it is usually (but not always) 43 Ltd.

>From the choice given by David, I think I'd choose 31 Limited. On
digital body it is almost normal and seems most universal. I wouldn't
take any of the zoom lenses due to their slow speed.
