I am sorry, but this is a really, really, bad argument. On one hand you
Are saying you enjoy the "much more enjoyable" automation of "A" and
later lenses and bodies, But then on the other hand youre saying that
removal of the only Automation the K/M lenses have is "of little
consequence". I am sorry But that is a really ridiculous argument. You
cant have it both ways dude. Either the automation options are a good
thing are they arent, you are arguing against yourself in totally
opposite directions in the same post!
Sincerely,
JCO

Speaking for myself only, and being a die hard manual camera/K-mount
user,
I was pleasantly surprised at how much more enjoyable photography had
become once I started using the A series and later lenses. I still love
the old glass for their optical qualities but I like the newer glass as
well. That I can use the older glass on the DSLR body is a bonus as far
as
I'm concerned. The lack of the aperture thingy is of little consequence
to
me as I enjoy using the older lenses in "manual mode," which allows me
some
of the pleasures that are found in using older cameras, but I can move
up
incrementally into more modern lenses and more modern ways of using the
camera. For me, this is great ... ;-))
