I expect that's where the primary difference lies, that and the slightly different processing applied by Camera Raw. Either does fine, I double you would know the difference other than in closely inspected photos side-by-side like this IMO.
The smaller size and QuickShift focus feature on the DA70 is making me feel as though I'm going to spend money. Dammit.
