I could see that :-).
I really don't know whether it is really that simple or cheap to support the
full K/M compatibility.  There were so many assumptions in the recent
thread, such as the aperture simulator accommodation might be $5 a piece
etc.
K100D/K10D being offered so competitively, they must have cut some areas.
With K1D which was already mentioned by Pentax, and if it's say $1500 range,
they could pick up a lot of stuff where K100/10D left out.

Or, Pentax are really beginning to make people buy newer lenses, although
somehow I do not think so.

Hope you can enjoy new DSLR (s), hopefully those offered by Pentax.  I do
hope that K1D can incorporate all bells and whistles including the support
of K/M lenses.  There are so many people in the world who have older lenses,
and K mount support was one of the virtues of Pentax.  I still believe the
reason why they maintained better finders was enable using of older lenses,
particularly the manual focus ones.  So I am sure they are mindful not to
abandon older lenses.
