I doubt that an outfit like B&H would order or receive only 10 or 20 units
unless there was a strict allotment from Pentax. But even if there were,
I'm sure Pentax would award what is surely one of their largest DSLR
retailers more than so few K10D's.

Frankly, I'm pleased to see how pentax is doing. A couple of nice, well
placed ads in good magazines, lots of interest in the K10D, shipment in
mid-november pretty much as originally promised, probably more cameras on
the way to fuel Christmas sales ... compare that to where they were a
couple of years ago, where numerous people said they were essentially a
"dead" company. Compare the shipment date of the K10D to what the nay
sayers and doom merchants were saying when it was announced that there'd be
a delay in getting the cameras to market.

Pentax, for the first time in quite some time, has the potential to make
some real progress, hopefully without backsliding too much. There was so
much pentax bashing and teeth gnashing going on here for a while that it
made me angry and frustrated.
