I would call that a night shot, but ti's really a matter of  
semantics. I've shot commercials where we rolled film  in daylight  
and made it look like night. I've also shot at night and made it look  
pretty close to daylight. Both without sky of course.  it's all about  
how you manipulate the exposure in respect to the light you have.

The cafe scene may be a bit oversharpened. I'll have to take another  
look. I seem to recall that I sharpened it very little, but the 12-24  
produces very crisp results on its own. And again, the light was  
unusual. Some huge highlights from direct sun and the resulting  
spread from the diffusion.
