That exact scenario crossed my mind. If that's the case, they are heroes.
As we sift through all of what's happened today, there will undoubtedly be
thousands of heroes recognized, many of them posthumously. Like what appear to
be dozens or even hundreds of NYC firefighters who died, trying to evacuate the
WTC when it collapsed.
