Are you sure you've fed the paper in the correct slot?  The roll- 
paper slot is behind the cut-sheet one.  I know that sounds obvious  
but it's all I can think of at the moment.

BTW the auto-cutter accessory is quite good if you expect to do a lot  
of roll printing.
