A tiny bit of it is visible. A little thread. And a tiny bit of Half Dome 
too, sticking out. But you have to be up pretty close to see it. I was, let's 
say, at least five feet lower than the official view (probably more like six) 
and 
I think up higher both would show a tad more. 

However, Lower Yosemite Falls was completely dry. It's been a dry year and 
when you go in Oct. there often is no water on a lot of the falls, although the 
fall colors were gorgeous and that really makes it worth it. So there was only 
a small stream on Bridalveil anyway. Because of that I did not go on the side 
trip there.
