It will get worse... you'll start wanting for LX accessories
and eventually yet another LX.

When you push the lever to the same direction as with the
MLU without pushing the button, you will get DOF preview.

Pushing the lever to the other direction, you will get the self timer
(I cannot remember if you need to push the button the same time or not
but try it).

Exposure compensation dial. At 4x end you will get 4 times as much exposure :-)
(= 2 f-stops)

Only aperture priority with LX. If you set the lens aperture at A, it actually
is f/22 or f/32 or whatever is the smallest aperture of the given lens.
And the OTF automatics will try to expose for very very long time (really long if
there is no film in). That is why the mirror stayed up and the shutter open.

The mirror may also lock up if there is not enough juice in the batteries
when used on the Auto mode.

Hard to say. But I recall there is some information about the LX
serial numbers on the net somewhere. Anyone remember where ?

They are very strong, and yes, you can get them off. There is a little
piece of sheet metal clip which you can push out with a small screwdriver or
similar blade or a pin on the lower part (closest to the body) of the lugs.
Then the lugs can be popped off. The grip comes off after turning the screw
anticlockwise (1/4 of a turn ? Don't have the LX handy right now).
