A couple years ago, head honcho of Canon Imaging System (or whatever they
call it), in his interview, clearly stated that "pixel peeping would cost
consumers dearly".  I thought it was an honest remark.  Lo and behold, it is
now indeed costing in a form of over-sharpened, yet flat images spitted out
by some of unnamed cameras :-).
