I take offence at this. No need to be a nasty b*tch thanks very much. My shake reduction sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. This has been bourne out by both watching the sensor move (or not) AND by the photographic results. Having said that, I love the camera and SR is not that important to me, so the sky is NOT falling, it just appears that the occasional unit has glitches...which is to be expected with a new model. It is a FACT that my SR is intermittant in its operation. I wish that wasn't the case, but I'm loathe to send it away for rectification as I don't want to be without the camera.
