you cant watch old movies at the movies.
you cant watch tv at the movies.
picture and sound quality at the movies
no longer always execeeds hdtv 
you need to compare hdtv to ntsc
tv. If you dont watch tv at all and dont
need a tv and dont have a tv for that reason
that would be one thing, but i dont know
anyone who doesnt have a tv or anyone
who never watches tv. If you do, than
my point is its worth having a hdtv,
even if you only watch a little because
the product life is basically hours
not time. Thats all I am trying to say here.

Yeah I can imagine the advantages to cinematography. Except I mostly 
don't give a crap about good cinematography. I'm not a fan outside of 
movies, and they look better in theaters. Outside of theaters I watch 
movies typically when travelling, which is on a laptop. Since I'm not a 
sports fan, that leaves TV programming, which is either crap (NTSC) or 
pretty crap (HDTV).

It is all about pretty crap, for me.
