I wasnt responding to you. I am entitled to
my opinion and to post it. I am not telling
anyone to "shut the fuck up" who disagrees
with me, so why are you? I didnt post this
out of the blue, it was in reponse to someone
else who mischaracterized my earlier posts
on the topic.

Secondly, I dont tell anyone to buy cameras,
high end stereo gear, etc and many other
things I enjoy either, because most
people dont take a whole lot of photos, or spend a lot
of time listening to music like I do, BUT MOST PEOPLE
DO watch a lot of TV/video at home. If those
people are going to spend thousands and
thousands of hours of their lives watching
home video/TV/Home theater (what ever
you want to call it), then I am going
to recommend what I feel is the far better
way to do it if its cheap to buy and thing to do
is to upgrade to HDTV immediately IMHO.

Sorry if you dont agree but to tell me
to "shut the fuck up" for just posting an
opinion contrary to yours in reponse
to someone else's comments is really ridiculous.

SHUT THE FUCK UP. People have different priorities, different budgets,
and different needs. There is no "should" here. I watch a 20+ year
old 20" TV. I don't care, even though I watch a lot of movies. I agree
HDTV is "better." Many of my friends have HDTV and home theaters and
LCD and plasma sets, and it's cool to watch a movie at their house. But
I am not going to spent thousands of dollars for an HDTV, and $80.00 a
month for cable or satellite. It's just not that important to me. Can
you understand that. Some people don't care that much about what's on
TV or getting the best image quality from the sets they have. There are
other things in their lives that take precedence.

For example, I have more and better cameras and lenses than my friends,
yet I don't criticize their camera choices. Are they foolish for not
using a high-quality DSLR or for not using Pentax, or Photoshop, or
printing their snaps on a high-end Epson. By your standards, they are,
after all, the results would be so much better, and the cost isn't that
great. I guess my friends must be jerks for not seeing this.

Why waste time arguing about this shit. You've contributed to
generating so many bullshit messages on this list that I could not even
unsubscribe from the list and comfortably read the archives. So please,
PLEASE, accept that not everyone believes the way you do, or cares about
the same things.
Get outta the house, turn off the TV and get away from the computer,
take a walk, go for a ride in the country, visit a friend ... but
please, please, please, go away for a while.

Back to lurking for me ... sorry gang, even reading the archives is a
PITA these days. I just had to say something, to vent a little. By for
a while.
