You got that right. I used to work in the banking industry and was party 
to over 3 dozen 'mergers.' Or, as the Borg would say, assimilations... 
Fortunately I was on the assimilating side. When tide turned and we were 
'merged' into another company, I jumped ship.

You never know how it plays out, but the key thing is that the values 
and design protocols of the acquired company go away. The question now 
is - what kind of camera manufacturer will Hoya be?

Let's hope they are a good one.
