My 125 year old casa Øsleby is built at sand ground, and is located about two meters above sea level.
My estimate is that a half meter rise of the sea level will be the end of it. The ground would be washed away during storms. The main street and the church of my village are at the same level and same ground. The impact of storms could be minimised by building a breakwater, but that will be expensive (because of the ground in the sea) and will also change the village totally. But I'm not "general you", I'm just me, my folks and my community ;-) BTW. Casa Øsleby is not a house really, it is more an everlasting project.
