Correct Len!
However, if you are using an incident meter, do you also measure the
contrast range and modify your exposure accordingly.
The modified Pentax meter allows the user to place the image on the film
in the right spot. That is to insure that the shadows do not leap to black
but rather graduate there using the toe characteristics of the emulsion.
Anyone shooting B&W that do not calibrate themselves to their materials
and methods will waste a lot of film!
