I thought a number of female contributors were rather high in this list. But it's true you can count them. I think it is a reflection of general proportion in "photo enthusiasts/hobbyists" market. There are many female who take snap shoots but perhaps those who takes photograph a bit more seriously would be a smaller proportion, let alone those who regularly participate in "enthusiasts' lists" like this one. I was very encouraged to see to find that there were more than few female participants in this list, some had just come and gone (and rejoin etc). And gents in this list, despite of daily grind of name calling, flame wars and nasty words etc, have been behaving themselves (ourselves) pretty good, not scaring female away :-). Amazingly, there is no sexist observation here. I do not know much about other lists but have hardly ever seen any serious female contributors in other lists comparable with PDML. BTW, I truly believe that female participants in this list are fabulous! And they sometimes even function as a moderating/disciplinary force for wild boys :-).
