Hi!

Today morning I decided to upgrade the firmware of my camera. Thanks
Rob for the link. So I took the card (Sand Disk the original) out,
copied the bin file and performed the procedure. Everything went fine
and, in fact, all my settings were preserved in the process.

Then I inserted the card back to the reader in order to delete the bin
file and whoopla - "Cannot delete file, disk is write protected" error
appeared. I formatted the card in the camera and went on with my life
;-).

Now, big question: it would appear that SandDisk 12 in 1 card reader
that I have either has defective SD slot or is too old anyway. Do I
buy a new one? Do I simply use the cable given the with the camera to
transfer the files? After all I only have just one card. Or may be
there is something that I overlook completely?

Thanks.
