I've had problems using IE7 to upload. I use ftp, so for example,
would type in ftp://blahblahblah.blahblah.etc into my web browser to
do my uploads. IE7 broke it. For some reason, I now have to go to
windows explorer to use ftp.

The only other thing I can suggest is maybe do the following:

in your IE7, click on tools
click on internet options
click on the advanced tab
if the checkbox that says "Use Passive FTP" is checked, try unchecking
it. If it is not checked, try checking it. And of course, if it
doesn't work, return it to whatever it was in the first place.
