I am still a bit unclear on this. I just tried importing some DNG files from my lightroom library on my laptop into my desktop library by connecting the two machines over a network and importing directly off the laptops drive. I had made adjustments on the laptop but these do not show on the imported versions on my desktop.
If lightroom is writing the adjustments into the DNG metadata they don't seem readable on another machine. Are you guys sure that you don't have to go through an export and then import routine to make sure the adjustments travel with the files. This doesn't seem much of an advance over exporting raw plus xmp files?
