It doesnt do automatic aperture which is what ia needed with M42 to be fully functional in my opinion. A whole bunch of cameras can do M42, including Pentax K bodies, with manual aperture mode only, what I am talking about is a true M42 DSLR that has full auto aperture support. (not to be confused with metering,
