it should be noted these adapaters will NOT
make the canon EOS into M42 DSLRS I was talking
about because they dont support the auto aperture
M42 lenses auto aperture function. Its very slow
and cumbersome to use them manually. There is
no need to even use Canon for them, you can do
the same thing ( manual apeture only ) with
a Pentax DSLR and the mount adapter K ring.

Yes. They're all over eBay. Mine cost be about $25CDN after shipping

Commonly available adaptors for EOS mount are: OM, M42, Nikon F,
Contax/Yashica and Leica R. The last two often have mirror clearance
issues though and the C/Y adaptors sometimes don't get to infinity. Some

people outdo Cotty and actually modify the mirror on the 5D, or grind
the lens for clearance (This is typically done on lenses like the Leica
19/2.8 Elmarit-R, a rather pricey lens)

Plain adaptors are typically $10-30US plus shipping off eBay, focus
confirmation adaptors with the extra circuit necessary to get focus
confirmation from EOS bodies are around $90US.

K mount adaptor are also available, but require physical lens mods
unless you have an EF-S compatible body (20D, 30D, all Digital Rebels).

Needless to say, the K and F mount adaptors only work with lenses
equipped with an aperture ring.

Who has the M42 and Leica R adaptors and will be buying a Nikon F
adaptor shortly.
