I've used both.
The Lloyd is dead simple, even I can use it. It also isn't as wasteful of 
film because there isn't as much trailer light struck while taping the film 
to the spool.
OTOH, tou are counting turns of film to get the number of exposures, so it 
can be a bit of a guess to know how much film is on the spool.
The Watson has a longer loading bay, so more film gets fogged, unless you 
tape the film to the spool, assemble the can and get everything closed up in 
the dark (which is how I do it).
The Watson counts frames though, so you can get a more accurate idea of how 
much film is loaded.
The light path of the Lloyd has the film going through felt lips as light 
seal, so you want to keep them clean, or else scratches can happen, the 
Watson uses a closable light path to keep the film safe when the bay door is 
opened.

Either one is perfectly acceptable, my preference is the Lloyd, simply 
because it is easier to use..
