Marc, I just got back from a month in India using the PD70X(80) and a Wolverine (40), the latter to back up the former. I bought some chinese batteries NiMH 2000s. The PD70X works fine with my 2gb SD cards. I didn't try the backup mode because I used another drive for insurance. The only quirk I have noticed with the PD70X is occasionally it quits and says "Error 19" but turning it off and on again clears it up. Gave me near heart failure, the first time! I saved 40Gb on each drive and it all copied to my computer drive without problems. I hope yours workd out OK. Bill Lawlor
