Mac OS X's Finder application dock is useful but I find it's implementation one of my least favorite things about the Finder interface. I normally leave it hidden unless I have a lot of screen space, I wish I could turn it on and off at will and not have the mouse auto-activate it. They don't have much in way of singing and dancing icons in the dock, just a little pip to tell you what's actually running and something to indicate that an application is starting up ... I don't find thos particularly obnoxious. The things I don't like about Mac OS X are many, but are far over- shadowed by what I do like, and none seem to get in my way. The things I can't stand about Microsoft applications and Windows UI are things that get in my way every single time I use them. I've not spent much time using a Linux system in several years so I can't comment about UI horrors or accolades there. Lesser or better? I don't care. l just don't want to be annoyed by the box I do my work on. To each their favorite horrors... ;-) ;-) Godfrey -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
