Both the DA14 and the DA12-24 are excellent quality lenses and a beautiful match to the DSLRs. They're not even horrendously expensive like the Nikon or Canon 14mm lenses are.
I don't know what you don't like about them, particularly as you don't seem to have used either one yet.
