I think if Leica was really smart, they'd redesign the few R lenses that 
don't clear the mirror on the 5D so that they were safe to mount, and 
then release a Leica-made REOS adaptor. The money is in the lenses and 
the R glass is rather popular these days with those willing to give up 
AF and open aperture metering to get truly world-class ultra-wides on 
EOS. R lenses would likely be more popular than they are if it wasn't 
for the fact that mirror clearance is more of an issue with R lenses 
than with C/Y or OM lenses (Which are the other two truly popular 
options, Nikon users having tended to go Nikon for digital).
