Leica has always been all about the lenses. Bodies come and go, their lenses have always had a unique and beautiful imaging signature. They are without a doubt my favorite lenses of all.
Curiously, the closest I've seen in more reasonably priced lenses are the Pentax lenses... Now that makes me happy. I can buy a lot of Limiteds (four or five!) for the price of one Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/ 1.4 lens ($2850) or Summilux-R 50mm f/1.4 ($2750), and the difference in imaging quality is too trivial to think about.
