...and the rest of the story...how does one get the
bugger off the K camera?
You need two ball-point pens; one to press the spring,
and one to place in the small hole on the face of the
mount...then pull towards you to rotate the ring off
counter clockwise.  I have found that some are very
stubborn and some are smooth as butter to
opperate...good luck.
