I use an action (when I remember too) in PS that took about 5 minutes to make & works on both portrait & landscape photos.
I got the technique from a tutorial here: <http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html> It's titled "Digital Watermark Branding" Instead of using an Illustrator file though I made a path from some text.
