Hi Paul ...

Pardon me for a slight chuckle here as I'm remembering how you complained
about a problem with the Transcend card and swore that you'd forever more
stick with SanDisk and similar "brand" cards. And now your SanDisk breaks.
Don't misunderstand me - I'm in full sympathy with your frustration, but
always remember that famous bumper sticker: Sh!t happens."

I just looked at my SD cards and can't, for the life of me, figure out how
you could accidentally flip the switch. I wonder if there's a way to set
the card permanently in the unlocked position. Who locks their cards
anyway?
