"You're only young once. But you can be immature forever!" Speaking of which, my mum had an "emergency dismount" from her horse this week. The horse is a thoroughbred and likes to go fast. She's 66 years old and doesn't mind going fast. Anyway, she broke her wrist and several bones in her hand and now has a compliment of plates and screws holding things together. Could have been a lot worse, I suppose. I keep reminding her that in all my years of motorcycle roadracing I never injured myself anywhere nearly as badly as she's done falling off horses.
